Dharma in the evening, Metta in the morning

I’m harping on a little, I know, but I’m so blown away by what I have available to me, for my learning pleasure, now that I have this little piece of equipment called a media player. Instead of reading last night I listened to a Dharma talk by Gil Fronsdal about the Four Noble Truths, and this morning I enjoyed a guided Metta meditation when I awoke. I’m downloading a few more Dharma talks as I type this. This is as exciting a discovery for me as books. Yes, it’s that big. I suddenly feel like the world is my oyster and I can bring learning to myself whenever I yearn for it. I feel like I want to say a big thank you to someone, I think I’ll go and give my husband a big kiss.

Hi Tracy,
Great to read about your experiences of Dharma and Podcasting. I find podcasts a great way to keep connected with a teacher and Dharma. I have weekly sessions listening to Gil, it’s almost like being there for his talks.
Do you mind if I pass your comments through to zencast.org and post them on their blog? I’d like to share your comments.
Also, I’d love to see an entry from you on the writing project I’m running over on themiddleway.net

Your life is the dharma, when you don’t separate yourself from it . . .

Hi Tracy,
I too feel the same way. My therapist has been talking to me about meditation and such. I tried to do it, but failed miserably, not understanding how it worked. I then searched the podcasts and found zencast. What a blessing it has been for me. I am able to receive the guidance I need, and even passed it on to a friend whose mother passed away that same week. Go Gil!
